Free path — claude.ai connector
Most people start here. A free Claude account works — no Claude Pro needed. Under a minute.
Adding this connector is free, and Prism works on the free claude.ai tier — no Claude Pro subscription required. Your Prism subscription (7-day free trial) is separate.

If you don’t have a Claude account, create one — the free tier is all you need for Prism.

In claude.ai, open your profile menu and go to Settings → Connectors. Click Add custom connector.
When asked for a name, enter Prism by Amani Digital — this is what you’ll say to invoke it later (e.g. “Start Prism”).
Paste this URL into the connector dialog:
https://mcp.amanidigital.com/mcpClaude opens an Amani Digital sign-in window. Sign in with the account you made in step 1 and approve the connection — you can close the window when prompted.
Open a new chat in claude.ai. Type “Start Prism” and Claude will use the Amani Digital tools to guide you through your Foundation.
Prism Desktop — native app setup
Native macOS and Windows builds. Your vault lives in a folder on your machine. AI runs through your Amani Digital subscription — no Claude key, no Claude Pro. The catch: this is early access, so your OS will show a one-time security warning the first time you open it.
You’ll need a free Prism account to track your Foundation. Sign up takes about a minute — 7-day free trial, no credit card required.
Early-access builds aren’t code-signed yet. Your OS will warn you the first time you open Prism. After that, it opens like any other app.
The download is Prism.app.tar.gz. Double-click it to extract Prism.app (Safari does this automatically; some browsers leave the .tar.gz file). Then right-click Prism.app and choose Open. Click Open again on the warning dialog. Done.
On the SmartScreen warning, click More info, then Run anyway.
Code signing — Apple Developer ID for macOS, Azure Trusted Signing for Windows — is in flight. Once both are live, this step disappears.
Click the sign-in button. Prism opens your browser, you sign in at amanidigital.com, and the browser hands you back to the app. Your password never enters Prism. After this, the app uses your subscription’s AI quota directly — no Claude API key, no Claude Pro.
If you already have a Prism vault from the Claude Desktop extension, Prism finds it and offers to keep using it. Otherwise it defaults to your OS’s app-data folder — ~/Library/Application Support/Prism/vault on Mac, %APPDATA%\Prism\vault on Windows. Edit the path on the screen if you want it somewhere else.
The final onboarding screen has a Start your first assessmentbutton. Click it and the AI opens a guided conversation, walking you through the dimensions. Sessions save automatically — come back tomorrow or in a month and pick up where you left off.
Privacy-first path — Claude Desktop setup
These steps are only for keeping your vault entirely on your own machine. Most people skip this and use claude.ai instead — no install, works in any browser. If you’re here for the privacy-first path, it’s under a minute once you have Node.js.

Claude is the AI that will guide your Foundation. Download the free desktop app.
Already have Claude Desktop? Skip to step 3. The desktop app itself is free, but Cowork — the project-folder mode Prism uses — needs a Claude Pro subscription. If you don’t have one yet, you can subscribe at claude.ai or take the free path instead.
Claude extensions need Node.js to run. If you're not sure whether you have it, install it — it won't hurt anything.

This adds the Prism tools to Claude. Your data stays on your device in your personal vault.

In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Extensions and turn OFF“Use Built-in Node.js for MCP”. This makes Claude use the Node.js you installed in step 3, which the Prism extension needs.
Then install the extension:

Yes. You get a 7-day free trial with full access to all 10 dimensions. The extension is free to install and no credit card is required. After your trial, Prism Standard is $14.99/month or Pro is $29.99/month ($299.90/year).
Your answers save to your Amani Digital cloud vault. At the end of the session you’ll receive a downloadable markdown file with your complete assessment. You can delete the cloud copy anytime from your account settings. Nothing is used to train AI models.
Your vault is a folder on your computer (default ~/Documents/Prism, but you pick). The AI runs through your Amani Digital subscription — no separate Claude API key, no Claude Desktop. The app contacts our servers only to use your subscription’s AI quota. Your vault contents never leave your machine.
Your answers stay on your machine, in the folder you pick when you set up your Cowork project. As you complete each dimension, a markdown file appears there. The extension only contacts our servers once per session — to verify your subscription.

Code signing — Apple Developer ID for macOS, Azure Trusted Signing for Windows — is in flight. Until both are live, your OS sees an unsigned binary and shows a one-time warning. On macOS, right-click Prism.app and choose Open. On Windows, click More info → Run anyway. After the first open, Prism behaves like any other app.
Run the built-in diagnostic tool. Open a terminal in your Prism extension folder and run:
